Jack Kent Cooke Stadium - In a town where the population is less than one twentieth the seating capacity of the stadium, Jack Kent Cooke was built to give the Redskins more elbow room. WIth standing room only crowds at RFK Stadium over the past several decades, there was no room to expand within the District. Laurel Park
- The races at Laurel park began in 1911. Today premiere horse racing runs from mid-June to late August plus a later season from October through December. The track is host to the International, a race which runs the leading horses from around the world. / Laurel Md / 301-725-0400

MCI Center
- The home of the Washington Wizards of the NBA, the Washington Capitals of the NHL and the Washington Mystics of the WMBA, the MCI Center also host concerts and other special events. The former home of the Redskins and current location for “D.C. United” professional soccer team, the stadium is now the home field of the Washington Nationals of the National League. Rock Creek Park
